November Volunteer Spotlight

This month we celebrate the service of Richland volunteer, Randy Sims. Randy has been volun-teering for Meals on Wheels for 2 1/2 years. He typically drives three days a week, but he is always a willing substitute driver when we need help. And best of all, Randy has enlisted the help of his grandchildren (pictured above) to deliver meals whenever they are available. Randy was born in Memphis, TN, and he was raised in California. After leaving the Army in 1972, he moved to Washington state. In addition to his career at Areva, Randy also served in the Army Reserves and retired from that service in 1994. Randy has been married to his wife, Sharon, for nearly 40 years.

Randy enjoys fishing and hunting, particularly bow hunting. He is very pleased that he was selected this year for a multi-season hunting per-mit, which will give him many opportunities. We so appreciate Randy’s hard work and willing heart. We honor him for his service to our Richland seniors and to his country. Thank you!
